The company receives from JITU – Management auf Zeit des BMWFJ operated by
AWS – Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH.
The funding is used to prepare for the clinical studies of the lead compound from the most advanced development program.

From the funding agency "AWS – Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH", www.awsg.at, 55pharma has been awarded a grant from the program "Double Equity". The grant totalling EUR 1 million represents a significant milestone in the funding of 55pharma’s development program 2008/09.

In December, 55pharma's application for a grant from the government of Lower Austria was approved. With this grant from funds earmarked for the promotion of business and tourism, Lower Austria contributes substantially to funding 55pharma's research & development activities.

April 2006: 55pharma opens laboratory at its new site in Tulln
At the beginning of April, 55pharma put into operation its laboratory at its new site at the Technologiezentrum Tulln (TZT). This kick-off of its in-house R&D activities at the heart of the biotechnology cluster in Tulln - comprising, besides the TZT, the Department for Agrobiotechnology and the degree program Biotechnical Processes of the University for Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt - allows 55pharma to further strengthen its core competencies in the field of natural products chemistry.

"aws, Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH", a company operating on behalf of the Austrian federal government, 55pharma has been awarded a grant from the program "Seed Financing" totalling EUR 0.5 million. 55pharma's application for this grant has been unanimously approved by the aws' "Seed Financing Board", a jury consisting of renowned international experts in the field of life sciences. In addition, 55pharma has been awarded another 0.5 million EUR from the aws' program Double Equity.
